Description
1985-86 Lindsay Carson Flyers Game Worn Jersey - "31"
Lot #30

This road orange heavy mesh gamer by Eagle was worn by Lindsay Carson during the 1985-86 NHL season. Lindsay was a scrappy left winger who excelled under the guidance of head coach Mike Keenen in Philadelphia. During that era, Carson was a member of both the 1985 and 1987 Stanley Cup Finals teams that fell to the dynasty that was the Edmonton Oilers. Lindsay’s career began in 1981 and spanned 7 seasons in the NHL. In 373 games played,Carson racked up 524 PIMS, the majority of which were accumulated during the Keenen years.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this Eagle mesh is the number “31” which was worn in commemoration of the untimely death of All Star teammate Pelle Lindbergh earlier that season. The game wear on this sweater is solid consisting of numerous stick marks and board burns, inner pilling and a number of significant classic Philadelphia Flyers team-sewn repairs. These Lindbergh “31” gamers have always been considered highly desirable by Flyers enthusiasts and type style collectors alike. Offered here is a well worn example that will surely enhance any vintage collection of gamers.
