This home white mesh gamer by Pedersons was worn by Scott Bjugstad during the 1984 Pre-Olympic games. In 1981 the Minnesota North Stars drafted this St. Paul native who had spent 3 seasons at the University of Minnesota. Following a season with the US National Team and the subsequent Olympic games with Team USA, Scott joined the North Stars during the 1983-84 season. He spent the first 5 years of his 9-year NHL career with Minnesota. Other stops included a brief time with the Pittsburgh Penguins and 3 years with the LA Kings. The 1985-86 season saw Bjugstad score a career best 43 goals and 76 points to the delight of the Minnesota faithful.
In 1983-84 Bjugstad dressed for 54 games with the US National Team, scoring 31 goals and 51 points as they prepared for the Winter Olympics. Scott played in all 6 Olympic games for Team USA in the ‘84 games at Sarajevo and lit the lamp 3 times as another Miracle failed to develop.
Offered here is Bjugstad’s jersey from the Pre-Olympic games. This red, white and blue mesh gamer is tagged in the collar by Pedersons and offers up game use that consists of stick and slash marks, board burns and inner pilling. A nice vintage Team USA gamer donned by this 40-goal man.
