Description
1984-85 Jim Fox Kings Game Worn Jersey
Lot #19

This home purple and gold knit gamer by CCM and Adidas was worn by Jim Fox during the 1984-85 NHL season. Fox registered his last of three 30-goal seasons while wearing this very sweater. Seventh on the Kings all-time scoring list with 478 points in 578 games, Fox spent his entire 10-year career as a member of the Kings after being selected in the first round (10th overall) in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.

Jim enjoyed his most productive season in this very jersey, in 1984-85, while netting 83 points (30 goals, 53 assists). Jim, along with Marcel Dionne, Bernie Nicholls, Dave Taylor and Brian MacLellan, were one of a team-record five Kings to score at least 30 goals that season. Fox is the highly recognized long time LA Kings television color commentator who sits alongside Bob Miller in the booth. He also played himself in the movie “Mystery, Alaska”.

This stunning purple and gold knit features a born on date of 07-84 which is sewn into the collar. The beautiful Adidas logo sits alongside the CCM logo on the back hem. Adidas logos were sewn to the back hems of Kings gamers for a brief time in the mid 1980’s. The game use consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaored burn holes, fine inner pilling and a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. Fine looking addition of a very popular figure in Kings history.
