This home purple and gold knit gamer by CCM and Adidas was worn by JP Kelly during the 1983-84 NHL season. Kelly enjoyed a 7-year NHL career which began in 1979-80. He played for all 7 seasons wearing the Kings purple and gold colors and will be remembered as a hard nosed winger who was often found in front of the net or in the corners.
The game wear on this sweater is strong consisting of many stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling, approximately 30 team-sewn repairs and fight abuse. Harken back to the days when jerseys were worn for an entire season, tremendous example.
