This road blue heavy dureen gamer by Sandow was worn by goaltender Jacques Cloutier during the 1982-83 NHL season. Jacques tended goal in the NHL during 12 different seasons, the first 7 of which were in Buffalo.
His career began in 1981-82, playing 7 games as the 3rd man behind the tandem of Edwards and Sauve. The Sabres big trade following the 81-82 season that sent Don Edwards to Calgary opened the door for Cloutier who assumed Edwards player number 1 and played in 25 games during the 1982-83 season while wearing this jersey. Following his days in Buffalo, Jacques tended goal in Chicago and Quebec before hanging up the skates to pursue a career behind the bench.
This Sandow dureen shows fine goalie usage which consists of stick and puck marks, some minor snags and un-repaired holes and solid pilling both inside and out. These beautiful heavy weight gamers marked the end of the dureen era a quarter century ago. This is a fine example which is perfect for the type style or goalie collector.
