This blue knit and mesh combo by Tibas was prepared for use for Stefan Persson during the 1981 Canada Cup Games. Persson is best known for his key role on the New York Islanders blueline during their Stanley Cup dynasty of the early 1980’s. In his 9 seasons with the Islanders he went to 5 consecutive Stanley Cup Finals, winning 4 straight. Stefan enjoyed an All Star careeer in Sweden before coming to and after leaving New York. 

Sewn to the right shoulder is the Tibas patch. A custom leather and elastic fight strap is found inside. The manufacturer’s tagging is sewn to the inner seam. There is no discernible signs of game use and thus we’ll call this one game ready.
