This road blue mesh gamer by Stall and Dean was last worn by Nick Libett during the 1979-80 NHL season. In 1978-79 this sweater was first worn by Wayne Bianchin. Bianchin spent 6 of his 7 years wearing the Penguins blue and white. He was claimed in the expansion draft by the Edmonton Oilers in 1979 as they entered the NHL and finished his career with them in 1979-80. Nick Libett played the first 12 years of a 14-year career with the Detroit Red Wings where he attained All Star status. He would join the Penguins in the summer of 1979 in a straight up deal for star center Peter Mahovlich and assumed the player number 14. In a career that spanned nearly 1000 games, Libett notched one 30-goal season and in excess of 500 career points.

This vintage blue and white gamer features the ever desirable, and yet so fragile, tackle twill crest, which in this case lost the war to wear and met constantly with the trainer’s needle and thread.
