This road blue mesh gamer by Cosby was worn by Lucien Deblois during the New York Rangers Stanley Cup Finals season of 1978-79. Lucien began his career on Broadway in 1977 and was part of the team that went to the Cup Finals against the Canadiens in 1979. He would stay in NY for several seasons before moving onto Colorado, Winnipeg, Montreal and eventually back to New York. Following another 3 year stint with the Rangers, Deblois played for Quebec, Toronto and Winnipeg before retiring. In nearly 1000 career games he totaled 249 goals and 525 points.
Sewn perfectly into the collar is the Cosby, wash and size tagging. The game use on this heavy blue mesh is solid consisting of some heavy stick marks, numerous board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and some team-sewn repair work. The sleeves of this gamer have been cropped shorter to Lucien’s specs while his name on back was removed by the team.
