We attribute this road black mesh & knit combo gamer to having been worn by Ken Berry during the 1977-78 Memorial Cup winning playoff run, the Bruins 4th title in 4 seasons! The Vancouver Canucks selected Berry in the 6th round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. After spending time with the Canadian National Team and playing his college hockey at the University of Denver, Berry began his NHL career with the 1981-82 Edmonton Oilers. Berry spent a couple of seasons with the Oilers before returning to Team Canada and appearing for parts of 2 years with the Vancouver Canucks.
The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Worn during the last of the Bruins 4 consecutive championships in what also marked their last season in the WCHL prior to joining the WHL.
