This home white mesh tie-down gamer by Stall & Dean & Al Dekdebrun was worn by Bill Stewart during the 1977-78 NHL season, his rookie year. The Buffalo Sabres selected Stewart in the 4th round of the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft. Despite spending the majority of the 1977-78 season with the Hershey Bears, Stewart did suit up in 13 regular season and another 8 playoff games for the Sabres. Stewart’s NHL career spanned 8 seasons during which time he played for Buffalo, St. Louis, Toronto and Minnesota. After leaving the NHL, Stewart went to Italy where he spent much of the next decade playing in the Italian League. Stewart also represented Italy in the 1992 and the 1994 Olympics.
