The Quebec Nordiques were one of the original 12 WHA teams to begin play in 1972-73. They would prove to be one of the most financially successful WHA franchise’s, surviving the 7-year existence of the league and eventually merging into the NHL for 1979-80. Afterall, the fans in Quebec had waited over a half century for pro hockey to return to their town. The Nordiques would make the final round of the Avco World Finals two times and they emerged victorious in 1976-77.
This home white dureen gamer by Maska was worn by Charles Constantin during the 1974-75 WHA season, his rookie year. Drafted simultaneously by the Buffalo Sabres and Quebec Nordiques in 1974, Constantin chose the WHA over the NHL. He began his career with the Nordiques in 1974-75, after having spent 4 seasons with the Quebec Remparts. Charles spent 4 years playing in the WHA, all but the final 6 games of his professional career were spent with the Nordiques. He spent the final 6 games with the Racers.

Sewn perfectly into the collar of this gamer are the Maska and wash tags. The game wear on this jersey consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains and plenty of pilling. This desirable one-year style features “Quebec” printed on both shoulder fleur di lis’. The condition of the “Quebec” on both shoulders is completely intact and unbelievably vibrant as are the clean whites and bright blues and reds that make up this stunning gamer.
