|
1973-74 Topps Autographed card of Barclay Plager. Plager played 9+ seasons in the NHL, all with the St. Louis Blues. When he retired he was the all time leader in games played and penalty minutes for the Blues. Barclay played in 4 NHL All Star games and was an important reason that the Blues made the Stanley Cup finals the first three seasons he was there.
On March 24, 1981 his player #8 was retired in St. Louis. Barclay died on 2/6/1988 from a brain tumor and brain hemorraging at not quite 47 years of age. The card is beautiful and the signature is a 10.
