Ernie was both an NHL and WHA All Star during a career which began with Winnipeg in the WHL back in 1959-60 and didn’t end until 1978-79 with the WHA’s Birmingham Bulls. He spent his time in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues before bolting for the WHA where he spent time with 5 different clubs over 7 seasons. In a poll taken of the 50 greatest WHA players of all time, Ernie Wakely ranked 17th on that prominent list.

The game wear consists of stick and puck marks, goal post paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling and team-sewn repairwork.
