This home white mesh gamer with red and blue trim by Champion was worn during the 1970-71 AHL season. It was only during this season that the 1st year NHL expansion Vancouver Canucks had the Rochester Americans serve as their farm team. This rarely seen 1-year minor league style features an unusual crest which mimicks both an upside down V for Vancouver and an A for the Amerks. Game use consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, some blood and other staining as well as pilling. Also unique to this style are the formal cuffed sleeve ends. The Champion tag is sewn in the collar and this would represent one of their earlier jersey efforts. This is a missing link in many collections, appealing to Rochester and Vancouver Canucks collectors alike.
